Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the StayWell app ("App") operated by StayWell ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the App
StayWell is a personal household management app for meal planning, cookbook management, grocery lists, pantry tracking, deliveries and subscriptions, chore tracking, and household calendar coordination. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the App.
- Use the App to transmit harmful, unlawful, or abusive content.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, subscription checks, or security measures.
- Use automated tools to interact with the App's backend.
2. Accounts
You must create an account to use the App, and you must be at least 18 years old to do so — you confirm this when you sign up. StayWell is designed for parents and guardians to coordinate their household; it is not directed at, and does not knowingly create accounts for, anyone under 18. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. StayWell Pro Subscription
StayWell Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks AI meal plan generation and other premium features.
- Free trial: New subscribers may receive a free trial period. The trial duration is displayed at sign-up. You will be charged the subscription price at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchase on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are displayed in the App prior to purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
- Generation limits: Pro users may generate up to 10 AI meal plans per week. Unused generations do not carry over. Limits reset each Monday.
All subscription billing and refund disputes are handled by Apple. For refund requests, contact Apple Support.
4. AI-Generated Content
StayWell uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to power several features, including suggesting meal plans and snacks (StayWell Pro), reading scanned recipes, and filling in details such as ingredients and prices. AI-generated content is for informational and convenience purposes only. We do not guarantee the nutritional accuracy, safety, or suitability of any AI-generated meal or snack suggestion, or the accuracy of details AI fills in, such as ingredients or estimated prices. Always consult a qualified healthcare or nutrition professional for dietary advice, especially for individuals with health conditions or serious food allergies.
5. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including design, text, graphics, and code — is owned by StayWell or its licensors. You retain ownership of the content you enter into the App (meal plans, cookbook entries, etc.).
User Recipe Content and Intellectual Property
StayWell allows users to save, organize, and share recipes. By uploading, importing, creating, or sharing recipe content through the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the content you submit, or you have all necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to use and share it through StayWell.
- Your content does not infringe the intellectual property, copyright, trademark, or other rights of any third party.
- You are solely responsible for any content you upload, import, publish, or share.
Recipes imported from third-party websites, meal kit services, cookbooks, social media platforms, or other external sources are intended for your personal use within your private StayWell cookbook unless you have permission or other legal authority to share them. StayWell may restrict or prevent the sharing of imported content.
StayWell reserves the right to remove or disable access to any content that is alleged or reasonably believed to infringe the rights of another person or entity, and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms.
If you believe content available through StayWell infringes your intellectual property rights, please submit a notice using the process described in our Copyright Policy. See also our Recipe Sharing Guidelines for what may be shared with others.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.
Recipes imported by users or shared between users are not reviewed or verified by StayWell. We do not warrant the accuracy of their ingredients, instructions, or nutritional or allergen information. Always verify ingredients yourself before cooking, especially if you or someone you're cooking for has food allergies or other health conditions.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StayWell shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any reliance on AI-generated meal suggestions or on imported or shared recipe content.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of law principles.
